I replaced the 40 pin connector between my CPU and Driver on my Firepower since it was sometimes not booting. I also added a remote battery pack. Now it won't cycle out of Audit mode. The weird part is that there isn't anything in the displays. When I press advance inside the coin door with the switch on auto up, I can cycle through the settings but as soon as I release the button it goes back to nothing on the displays.

I replaced IC19 cmos ram 5101. I'm getting about 4.3v on pin 22. +5v, reset, and +12v are all good. I tested the driver board in my Gorgar and it's good. I checked continutity on the cpu 40pin connector.

Do you think there is still something wrong in the memory protect circuit? My Black Knight was once stuck in audit mode but the displays weren't blank like my Firepower. Replacing the cmos ram in Black Knight fixed it.

Diagnostic test running and showing anything on the LED's at all?

Both lights blink when powered on and stay off. When I press the diagnostic button the lights blink twice and stay off.

Turning it on and off really fast doesnt help? I've heard that this will get it out of audit mode sometimes? Mine did the same but replaced the 5101 fixed it and new battery setup.

Did you verify battery voltage on the board after you did the soldering?

Yea, tried that and the interlock in the coin door has been removed with the wires disconnected. I think there might be something from keeping it in audit mode since the displays are blank until I push the advance button in the coin door.

Is it safe to test my Gorgar boards in my Firepower? I know the driver boards are the same but Gorgar is system 6 and FP is 6a. Thanks.
