Hey Guys,

I'm picking up two cabinets on May 12th, and in the past I've just had the cabinets standing start up in my truck, which kills my gas milage, my hp and just about everything. I've got a Chevy S10 4 cylinder so we aren't talking about a whole lot of power to being with here.

I'm picking up a Rock-ola Eys and Midway Touchmaster 7000. Here is what I was thinking. Put the Rock-ola Eyes in the truck on its side, cardboard on bottom and top after being shrink wrapped.

Then putting the Touchmaster 7000 on top of the Rock-ola Eyes. Bad idea? Good idea? I know it wouldn't be nearly as tall, I would have the worlds largest air brake and it would help with the center of gravity. Just strap it down really well and the cabinets should move.

Thoughts?

Thanks

the best way is to check inside and make sure everything is secured and then just lay them on the backs.

Yeah except I don't have room to lay both machines on there backs . . . I wish I did, but I just don't. Still trying to figure out a good want to pull this off . . . hmmm.

Not sure if stacking them is the best idea, but I know the dilemma.. Perhaps renting a trailer from U-Haul or some other company like that?

Last time I hauled 2 cabs, was with a Dodge Dakota, NARC had to stand straight up against the cab, and Area 51 had to lay on its back. It really secured NARC from moving at all. Still used straps none the less to make sure. Yeah the gas milage wasn't the greatest, but it was the most stable option at the time.

I'm sure trailers aren't that great either, but it's the path i'll be taking next time I buy two cabs at once.

and when you have to move a few cabs at once :p

I would go for upright rather than on top of each other

rent a @20 trailer from u haul like i do...it will save u money in the long run destroying good stuff

Yeah I've moved 3 cabinets in my truck plenty of times, and its not the most fun experience in the world. I was just thinking that because the Midway is not a full upright, its really kind of short, I thought it might be work to set it on top. I'm trying to find the dimension of it, I might be able to lie them both down in the truck if the tailgate is down, hard to explain, but I have an idea in my head about it.
