Is it possible for a cap to fix itself?

So I have a extra Sanyo 20EZ monitor that I swapped into a game recently. *When I bought the monitor I was told that it was sitting for a few months but before that it worked fine. *So I hooked it up and it fired up fine but then I started to notice the picture waving like a flag, looked it up and found that I'll need to replace cap #C606, no big deal. *

The game was playable so I kept playing it, after a week of playing (and waving), last night I was in the middle of a game and the screen did a semi-serious "bloom" and then the picture straightened out for the rest of the night. *Nice solid picture. *I just knocked on wood (my crotch) and left the games on for the rest of the night. * I'm gonna turn the games on again later so I'll see if it was a perminent self fix but is it possible that after not being in use the monitor board heated the cap or solder joint up enough to straighten it back out?

The cap is probably almost dead. When the picture finally displayed fine, the cap somehow got the needed charge. I bet if you leave it for a while and try it again, it will do the same thing.
Do yourself a favor and do a cap kit.
