Is it ok to use a snes rf adapter with a sega genesis?

Hi guy's. Will it hurt my sega genesis model 1 system if i use a snes rf adapter on it? Thanks.

nope, won't hurt it. The RF adapters are pretty universal. I believe the Genesis model 1 was the one with the channel select switch on the system.

It can also be used on a lot of other systems too

Also, don't forget, you can daisy-chain RF adapters too as long as only one console is on at a time that is.

I've used the NES RF adapter on my Genesis before. I've never seen a SNES RF adapter, I've only seen the one with the RCA Audio and Video cables. But RF adapters don't really matter, pretty universal, as long as they fit you can't hurt anything. AC Adapters are a different story.

From what I recall, the RF unit for SNES was identical to that of the NES.

Works on the NES through the Game Cube
Yep - I wasn't sure about different models, but I do know I've swapped various units between all my Nintendo consoles. I remember being disappointed when it was changed on the Wii, though that was understandable.
