Is it me or is this a liitle high?

Makes me wonder where these people get prices from. I paid $55 for an Area 51 site 4 in mint condition. So cheap games are out there and if you do research you can see what things are selling for. If someone is selling something for XXX and it is still not sold then chances are you wont get more for the same thing.

Could be an old op that paid several thousand for it and looking to recoup some of that money. Or someone that has no clue. Oh, how I would like to find a $55 Area 51...

I bought it with the understanding that it did not work. The guy apparently never plugged it in as the plug was still in the back of the machine and the back was locked. Got into cab replaced a fuse, plugged her in and she fired up.

The value of anything is always determined by what two people agree on. If someone will pay it, then that is the value. If not he will either decide that it has that value to him, or he can lower the price.

P.S. I doubt he would make the exact same Typo in the heading, and the body.

So are you willing to sell it for $55 ? Is that what it's worth ?
If you bought a picture with an original copy of The Declaration of Independence in it for .25 would you then sell it for the same ?
You should be thankful you got a good deal on the Area 51 and that's about it. It makes no determination on the worth of all Area 51's.

Not saying that the deal I got was the true value of the game. I was simply using it as an example that if you dig around you can

1. Find items cheaper if you are buying
2. If you are selling, get a rough idea of what an item sells for in the area

I agree an item is only truly worth what someone is willing to pay but if people do research it would save them possible disappointment or embarrassment. Just because I paid $55 for the game when it comes to sell I am not going to sell for $55. I will sell for fair market value. If this guy paid $1500 for a game then he needs to realize he probably wont get that for it.
