Someone replied to my wanted ad on CL...I went to check out what he had...he has 13 games in various conditions. Some work, some don't most could use a nice cleaning and restoration. Here's the list...

Arch Rivals
Robocop
Arkanoid
V'ball
Super Dodge Ball
Wrestle War
NBA Jam
Slammasters
Super Punch Out!!
All American Football
Captain America and the Avengers
Mortal Kombat
Road Rage

Some of the cabs are in decent shape, but like I said, most need to be fixed and restored, a couple MIGHT be cabinet only, not too sure, didn't look very hard. Anyway, he doesn't know anything about them and is not looking to get rich. He said he'd trade me them all for one or two working games and/or a Coin Op dart board.

Anyone think it's worth the trade? Opinions on the games? Any of them worth anything? Most are no name games it seems.

Here's also a couple cell phone pics, bad quality, not much lighting in there.

I'd say the Super Punch-Out!! and the RoboCop look like the potential gems of the bunch.

You've got Stern, Williams, a Gorf and a Tapper conversion there as well...

Which ones are the conversions? Sorry I'm awful at cabinet ID...I'm not a fan of conversions either, I prefer dedicated cabs...and the Tapper conversion might explain why I saw budweiser logos on the sideart of one haha.

Let's see what I can make out...Arch Rivals was a Williams game of some sort (very common conversion), the Arkanoid was formerly a GORF (I haven't seen that conversion very often), Super Dodge Ball was a Budweiser Tapper, VBall looks like some sort of Stern cabinet...

The RoboCop is in the classic cabinet I remember it being in when I played it, though.

The Arch Rivals looks to be in a Robotron cab. Poor classics, suffering from identity theft, lol. If I had a dartboard, I'd trade... or maybe offer to clean one or two and get them working 100%, then keep the rest.

don't think that's a stern cab. I'm thinking pacific novelty. Maybe like a thief. Although if you could see the speaker grills that would be the easy give away.

Wait, so you actually had a wanted ad on CL that lasted for more than hour?!?! Must actually have a nice local collector community there. Unbelievable.

Jump all over that deal yesterday.

I'm really thinking I'll take the deal. Problem is I don't have a dart board. A guy I work with has one he'd sell me for $300...sooo...yeah. I might do it. It's either this lot, or a pristine condition Space Odyssey Pin.

I wouldn't take all those for free honestly. Really it's a bunch of junk you'll have to dump more money into in order to get rid of them. (Or part them out to make $25-100 per game, but that's not worth the time either IMO).

Thanks for the opinion...that was my first thought when I went to take a look at them. If they were either all working or all really nice cabs I'd take the deal, but I'm having second thoughts now. I really don't know what to do haha. The Mortal Kombat looks nice, and is working, that alone might make it worth it, no? And the Super Punch Out has a nice cabinet as well.

I would say go for it. If you can get a dart board for $300, then it's worth it.

If you get the SPO working, it's a $500-600 easy, I've seen them go for more. MK is worth $300.

The only way I would say not to go for it, is if you really have no room to store them. Pick them up and sell them one by one. You can easily make a profit.

Very tough to tell, but I think that Wrestle War is in a Xevious cab.

If you don't like conversion cabinets, but also can't tell which ones are conversion cabinets, what's the big deal? LOL

I would jump all over that deal if I were you. Tell your friend you'll trade him a game or two for his dartboard, then go get them, get two going for your friend, and keep the other ELEVEN.

Super Punch Out, Broken, would be a fair trade for the dartboard. If it works, or you actually get the other dozen games, that's just gravy.

if the mortal kombat, super punch out, nba jam and robocop are complete I would probably do the deal if I had space. Plus if some of the other cabs have monitors I would also take that into consideration as it has some value to me.

I'm gonna give my buddy a call tomorrow and see about getting his dart board from him for $300. If so, I'll take the deal, like you guys said, I could fix up one of them and sell it and make my money back. I have an empty garage and shed right now just waiting to be stuffed :-D

Also, if I got it, I think I'd restore the Arkanoid cab back to a Gorf and the Super Dodge Ball back to Tapper. Those would be two fun ones to have. Who knows, maybe I'll just trade the lot for one or two off my want list :p

That is defintely worth it. If you fix up and sell the Super Punch Out that should give you enough money for parts for anything else in the lot that you want to restore/fix. Or you could just keep it or change it to regular Punch Out and liquidate the rest. Looks like some project fun to me. Well worth a dart machine and whatever else you can come up with.

It's either this lot, or a pristine condition Space Odyssey Pin.

Go with whichever one you want more. Honestly, I need more projects like a hole in the head right now, but I still wouldnt pass up 13 games for a mere $300.

If it were me, and if I had the time, I'd take the projects on, fix 'em or part 'em, and use those funds for whatever void I wanted to fill in the game room.
