Iron Man gameplay vid

excellent vid as always. LOVE the notes!

Seeing titles like this and spiderman really shows how bad Disney screwed Stern on the Pirates pin. It appears that Marvel once again gave them access to the entire audio/video of both movies just like with Spiderman.

There are a ton more movie quotes in Iron Man...sometimes other sounds cancel them out, which happened a lot this video. There are usually a lot more quotes from Tony Stark & Lebowski, er - Obadiah. When you get tilt warnings, Jarvis says "You're not authorized to shake the machine, sir" :)

Nice video Greg! I haven't played an IM yet; I saw your initial post on RGP when you picked it up with the BDK but hadn't set up that one yet, so the question is now that you have them sitting side by side and have spent time with both how does the gameplay compare and which one do you like better?

BTW - just curious, did you get the plastic apron on the BDK?

I've been playing IM a lot more, so I'll say I like it better. The speed, audio, and shaker just make it so killer. Batman's more of a thinkers game. I actually learned a lot of interesting things about the rules today that completely made me realize I need to approach my gameplay differently....Batman is chess. Iron Man is extreme sports.

Yes, I got the plastic apron...I bought a metal one to replace it *grumble grumble*

Very interesting, thanks for the comparison! I have spent some good time with TDK before and after the recent code update and I really have been enjoying the game more and more each time I play it. I wouldn't call BDK a triple A title but there is some really good fun to be had. I haven't been able to come across an IM in So Cal at all, but I'll be keeping my eyes open as I definitely want to give it a go; the more I hear about it the more interested I become. IM sure sounds like a very redeeming design for Borg after all the mixed reactions from his last few games.
Sure is too bad about the apron, I know how you feel as I even felt compelled to get a new lock-down bar and tournament button for my SM I got from the run late last year,(and that's nothing compared to a plastic apron!); it just felt incomplete with the established feature for that machine missing. Did you get a new apron for IM too? I do understand STERN's need for cutting back to keep the business alive but the plastic apron and the side rails with-out the guards around the buttons just feel like such a step backwards.

Yeah, but Iron Man's apron doesn't bother me as much since the decals are made for its shape. It's flat between the flippers, not arched like the metal one. It looks stupid on batman because the decal is still arched, but the apron is flat....so, I'm just going to replace it on Batman. I have an extra pair of guarded side rails (they came off my Spidey when I put on Steve Ritchie's webbed ones.) ...I'm probably gonna put hose on Iron Man.
