IPHONE Arcade Classic Games

It sucks. The move timing is all f'd up and some of them aren't even correct! I was hugely disappointed with it.

On the other hand, they did a great job with Space Ace. it plays nearly perfect like the arcade game.

I'm not a hardcore Dragon's Lair guy, but for a dollar you can't go wrong. I had alot of fun with it. Its not like its not playable, because it totally is!

"Temple Run" is a decent 3-d take off of Pitfall, with a lot more adrenaline rush.

The Paperboy app is pretty fun, esp. with the tilt controls enabled. The Tapper remake looks great with the Don Bluth art, although it kicks my butt after a few cities. I'd also be interested in the Q*Bert app - it seems to have vanished?

Not a game per se, but my son and I have really been enjoying the U-Ventures series of "Choose Your Own Adventure" stories by Edward Packard (original author from BITD). It's a great little app, and the lite version if fine for free. We are currently on Return To The Cave Of Time, originally published in 1985.

anyone have any new favorite for the apple apps?

I'll add Max Adventure (variation on smash tv/total carnage a little bit...)

Midway Arcade is really good and for $.99 includes:
Defender
Spy Hunter
Rampage
Rootbeer Tapper
Arch Rivals
Joust
NARC
Total Carnage
APB
Arch Rivals basketball shot
Gauntlet
Gauntlet II
Wizard of Wor
pool
Air hockey
skee ball

I have these that arent listed.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 came out, Silent Scope, Street Fighter 4/Volt, DoDonPachi Ressurection (amazing, 2 versions, regular and HD), Ghosts n goblins Gold Knights 1 and 2, Esp Galuda HD

If there's any game that would convert well to IOS it would be Quantum....

Yeah… The issue I have with classic games is that they convert very poorly to a touch interface. They all have soft joys and buttons and are (for me, at least) totally unplayable.

I'd much rather play the classics in real cabs — even a 60-in-1 is better — and play games designed from the ground up for touch on my iOS devices. There are some really great ones.
