Hello KLOV! I have heard some great things about this site and look forward to digging in and reading up on as much as I can. I am 43 now so I must admit I was a kid in the 80's dumping quarters in these machines! I have started collecting them again and got my first pinball machine after about 8 years. I had a pinbot pinball that almost started something but I had another child so it got put on the backburner. I recently just picked up one I had been looking for a long time which is the Nightmare on Elm Street Pinball and it was in really nice condition. I just sent the Mylar backglass in to Robert Englund so he could autograph it. I had him put "Ive got the body you got the brains" and his autograph. It should be cool, I will post pics later. I have approx 7 arcades right now. Look forward to visiting with you. Oh and by the way if you didn't think I was really from the 80's my username is Gnrl01 cause I drive a 69 Charger called the General Lee. lol Yes I am serious..

Welcome! Where in Iowa you located? Ive been a member just a short time now and have already met a few Iowa peeps. Its always nice to know more of them. Im in Waterloo and have about 12 cabinets, no pinballs yet :(

I am about 30 miles from Des Moines, do you collect them for yourself or resale or both? Nice to see a neighbor on here.

I'm down in the SE corner. not much collecting going on down this far though.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys...I have travelled to Lincoln,ne Sioux falls,sd and all over Iowa. I always watch mo and mn but it is always for me. I am all for networking and helping one another when I can.

I am wanting a twister pinball machine but not 3k bad. I own an empty twister cabinet and would love to build it but I need a serious donor machine. Thanks guys

Funny, another klover here in Lincoln just sold a real nice Twister for around 1800... thats why we need to get on the board so we all know what is for sale around us, bump that thread I posted guys so the mod can set up that group....

Cedar Rapids here. Send me a list of your wants and price range and I will keep an eye out. Same thing for all Iowa collectors. Kinda starting a spreadsheet.

I would be all for us Iowans getting on the board, we all definitely need to stay in touch. If I come across anything I will let you guys know.. Here is my wish list for now?

Twister pinball...I am kinda open price range chea, per the better or I would be down with parts or a parts machine. I have an empty twister cabinet in awesome shape that I picked up but I need everything.

T2 pinball

Galaga

Thanks!

A guy name Mike in Monmouth, IL has a bunch of rough condition stuff. multiple locations of it. He has 4 or 5 galaga's (they had capcom bowlings in them) that are in the process of being turned into 60-1s. if you are new to this you might have fun checking it out. but his prices are often a bit out of range.

i think the davenport crowd knows how to get ahold of him. i don't have his contact info anymore.

Thanks for the tip, yeah if I could get contact info that would be great. I took my two boys to incredible pizza and played galaga. The game and I were one for some reason I scored 245,000 on my first try..the best I have played ever. Evidently having gyruss at home has sharpened my skills. Gyruss seems much harder, I have only got to 315,000 on it once and I have owned it for 3 months. I tell you what my left wrist hurts like a mother..I don't see how the pros who beat these games can play for two days straight.. Maybe cause they are not 43 lol or maybe because they are simply pros lmao..it was fun though
