Anybody know what arcade this was from? I'm just curious. I'm not going to NY for any of this.

same tool that runs the "auction" every couple months in farmingdale that is complete with his group of loser friends that drive the bids up.

he's a complete loser

i've been to a few of these and once in a while i really get a great score. you just have to wait and weed out all the b.s. i wouldn't go if it's a long drive but every once in a while he has a gem.(usually not listed)

The auctioneer is pete. Gunsmoke won a dig dug and a circus charlie one time. I won a tekken cab another time. The auction is definitely hit and miss. For example....That Robotron is the same robotron I have seen from a few auctions. Shilling is common practice at Pete's auctions. I have seen some of pete's vendor friends up the bid and walk straight out of the room. There was one auction in White Plains that had some decent stuff but pete dragged some of his crapola there as well. All in all, the guy is trying to make a living by selling his crap. I will still attend from time to time and if I am lucky great! If not, no sweat.

his friends shill the bid? Sounds like a sucker punch in the parking lot would be in order.

His "vendor" friends. Pete is not really an auctioneer. He is a vendor and every so often him and his buddies get together for an auction. Each of them brings in their own games and instant auction. Each vendor will wind up shilling his own item. I am sure they shill for each other. But the saying is hit or miss and I believe that is true. If I came from out of state to one of these auctions, I would be pissed and never go again., But since I am local, I will go from time to time. The super auctions in Coney Island seemed fair enough. Nothing like Pete's auctions. As the ole Wise Pete usually says..."Come on guys....I ain't renting out this thing"
