So, I guess the collector in question does not actually play on the vintage hardware he/she has acquired? From the flash, most everything appears to be shrinkwrapped: systems, games, peripherals. So they are a strict museum type collector, they never touch it, they just enjoy having it. That I can understand. I think it is a little extreme to shrinkwrap everything though.
If this were ever brought up to be sold, however, that would make buyers very leary if parts of this collection where being sold as new. Hard to tell what is legit new and what has been shrinked after the fact.
It looks like a lot of the games are new/sealed, I guess that was his/her focus for a bit and they didn't waver from it until they got systems where it is literally impossible to get everything complete in the box (like the NES).
It was fun to pick out the systems from the box pictures, like the mini variants, the boxed 2600 in the background, etc.
Anyhow, welcome to the forums. It'll be intersting to see how he/she approaches arcade cabs. All from one manufacturer, or only new in crate machines, or not caring and just getting whatever beater cabs that come along. It'll also be neat to see what era of arcade cabs they'll focus on.
