I did not see a thread for this when searching (either that or it is very far down in the pipeline in the searches), but I figured I would introduce myself. Obviously, I am new here. I have been a member of Digital Press since 2004 and got into arcades about 2 or 3 years ago. I was recommended this place for tips on fixing my machines.
I currently have my main machine that somebody converted from a Street Fighter 2: CE to a Tekken 2 ver. B and then I converted it to a ST-V cab. No, I don't own Radiant Silvergun (I seem to get asked that question alot). I have around 15 ST-V games.
I still own my Tekken 2 board. I also just got a Surf Planet board and once I get the joystick issues resolved, that will be fully working.
Somebody had an Indy 500 cab (I think it was that game) that they spray painted black and put Great 1000 Mile Rally into, so I have almost stripped all of those components out (I figured they already messed up the cab, so I might as well convert it anyway). I got that cab mainly for the monitor anyway.
Let's see, I am still slightly new to soldering, but am adjusting very quickly.
I also live in Nevada. I am really into video game collecting, and falling into arcades just felt like a very natural progression for me. I don't like superguns or mame machines since I would rather play the original.
The only exception is that I do want to put a Dreamcast into an empty cab one day just because it would be cheaper than getting a Naomi with all of those games (since I already own the originals on DC anyway)
