I am having a problem with electrical interference in my upright Ms Pac Man game I recently converted over with the Jamma 60 in 1 multi-game board.
I had the same problem with the original Ms Pac Man Board but now it is much worse.
Okay here is the problem:
Beside the Ms Pac Man game is a 1966 Midway Flying Saucer Game.
All the games in my Game Room are on the same 20 amp circuit.
The Screen on the Ms Pac Man game has a slow horizontal role with the Flying Saucer Game Plugged in and if I actually start the Flying Saucer Game the screen will degrade to unintelligible garbage.
All these problems disappear if the Flying Saucer game is turned off or unplugged.
However even with it merely "on" without the game actually playing it still causes the slow monitor role.
I realize in 1966 " Line Interference" was not something game manufacturers worried much about.
But this has made it impossible to have both games on at the same time.
Strangely- there is also a Bally Wizard (1975), Bally Bon Voyage, Williams Pinch Hitter, Midway Stunt Pilot , and a Bally Continental Slot machine on the circuit as well and in spite of them all being mechanical as well none of them cause any discernible line interference.
My question is simply how do I fix this problem?
Will a standard AC EMI Line Filter wired into the power line of the Flying Saucer Game eliminate this problem or do I need something else?
