I've thought about this many times myself. The general consensus is that the container game market dried up a long time ago.

If I were planning to go to Germany I would probably consider it.

I've read a few posts about containers on RGP and I think they sound pretty risky unless you can be there to see them packed and loaded. They will then probably sit on a loading dock for who knows how long. Then they are going to be on a container ship for weeks and are subjected to moisture and climate changes. Then they have to pass through US customs and you have to pay fees. Then you have to have it transported to your location. I'm not saying it can't be done and can't be profitable, but there are a lot of potential pitfalls along the way.

That's $638 a game. There are a lot of games in that list that are only worth $600 - $800 unshopped, very very few popular titles. However, that doesn't include all the other fees like the import fee, and transport to your location. Also, there is a good chance that some of those games will be trashed beyond repair, 20%-40% are probably parts machines.

It used to be a gold mine importing these containers. I nearly did it once, but held off. Now I wish I had done it. 10 years ago if you brought in a container you would find it packed with TAFs, TOTANs, CFTBLs, IJs, MMs, AFMs, TZs, etc. You'd get multiple A list games, and the condition wasn't too bad, though still not great. As the sources for these nicer pins dried up, just about anything started getting shoved into these bulk deals. You'll often see 4-5 Fish Tales machines in there, all in severely bad shape. A guy near me bought a container 2 years ago and it was horrible. He had to part out most of the games.

One of Clay's videos shows them importing a container and they did quite well. But yeah, the bubble burst on these deals a while ago.

Mr. Pinball is loaded with spammers and scammers and this smells like one to me.

Just post something in the classifiede and watch how much spam and scam you get!

I agree. Watch out for the guy from Balston Spa. Tries to sell you a game slightly broken, then all of a sudden he can fix it and jacks up the price at the last minute.

Been wondering about my last action hero because its from denmark? Doesn't have quarter coin plastics buy some other weird currency like gulder something and it shows a denmark stamp on data east label. bet this sucker may have been in a purchase deal too.

the Guilder is the old currency of the netherlands (pre-Euro). so it likely came from there, not denmark (whose currency was the Krone). it may have been imported through Denmark though, then moved to Holland?
