Interesting free play hack on my Jungle Hunt. Very clever, really.
So, I was looking to take my Jungle Hunt/king off of free play and discovered there is no free play dip setting. But my game is clearly on free play. It just has no attract, which blows. How did they do this? WTF?
When I power my JK on, it coins up to 9 credits. Which is the max credits for this game. But, how is that happening? When I start a game, it automatically uses one credit then quickly adds one more maxing it back out at 9. What is going on?
I bought this game from a teen center and all games were on free play. I discovered what the op did to add free play to JK and I think it is pretty clever.
On the microswitch for the coin drop there are three terminals. I think they go ground, normally closed and normally open. The operator moved the wire from normally open to normally closed so it is constantly firing the switch ( I think i got description right, did I? Or is it backwards?)
Anyways, this is a great way to hack a game into free play if it has finite credits. I love the idea. Especially useful if a game has attract if the game has credits.
Just thought I would share, never seen this before. Neato.
