I ran across this interesting Pacman bootleg cocktail table while i was picking up some other cabinets. It's called "GOBBLER" - It plays a bit more difficult than pacman, and the sounds are a bit different. The Marquee sits on the top of the table and is backlit by the coinmech lights.
I can't seem to find any info on it here on Klov and even on the most informative Pacman info websites.
Does anyone have any info on this game?
Here are some pics, and a link to a video of the gameplay.

Thanks!

That's pacman on galaxian hardware... sounds like shit :)
ROMs are in MAME -- usually done with the artic cartridge system.

Wow, thanks for the info everyone!

What do you think it would take to deconvert this thing to a Galaxian ?

Is it just a straight ROM swap? There don't appear to be any crazy board mods...

I can dust off the old ROM programmer/Cash Register and give it a go...

Probably not overly difficult. Though the ROM board on that has more sockets than on Galaxian.... so the question of which sockets the ROMs would go into (there are 5 on Galaxian).

You would also remove that daughter board on the far right (with the 4 ROMs) and replace with 2 programmed 2716s for Galaxian character ROMs. Lastly, there is one or more bipolar proms (1 I think) that I'm sure does not have the correct color info.

You could also pick up the 1 ROM solution, eliminating the ROM board (no board mods required) so you don't have to figure out the sockets. And you'll need to make sure no chip select lines were cut and rerouted, and if so, restore the cuts.

Well, it was never a galaxian, i'd bet. But it *might* run galaxian with proper daughter card and roms.
