interest in a "how to" guide to copy cabinet parts for cnc repro?

I have been getting tons of requests for one off parts, things like Atari control panel side supports, back doors, etc. Sometimes its not as simple as measuring a square with a hole for a lock. There's a real easy way to draw a plan for a part or a cabinet that translates easier and faster to vector it for cnc use. If the interest is there, I'd be happy to do a guide with pictures, maybe we can can get it stickeyed?

I am interested in this as well. As I stated on another topic thread, I am looking into reproducing the black joystick handles that were used on Williams Blaster and Inferno uprights as I recently obtained 2 sets of NOS handles, and the ones on my Inferno upright are starting to crack around the trigger buttons and also in a couple of other spots (as is inevitable with age).

I am completely new to trying anything like this, so any help towards my goal is appreciated.

I also hope to make more than a few sets for other possible interested folks...not looking to make a mint or anything like that, but just doing it for the love of the hobby (but I would need to sell any I make for about cost I figure, whatever that cost turned out to be).

i'll work on this when i get a chance.. busy gutting the bathroom for a total remodel, stripping it to bare studs.

Any luck with putting this together?

i am still planning on doing this, and have had no time to dedicate to it at all. I did just get an empty satan's hollow, perfect for this project. I have to get all my ordered cabinets out the door, then i will break out the camera and put this together!

Hey there DPtwiz,

Any more thought in doing this "how to" I have a few cabs that I would love to get the dimensions off of so that they could be reproduced someday.

just trying to get caught up on orders.. i have a satan's hollow here for the tutorial!

yes, i actually took all the pics and started writing it up, just so busy with the day job i haven't finished it yet!
