For Sale: 6 games in Eau Claire, WI (Vs., Paperboy project, KLAX, etc...)
Alright... some pretty serious stuff has come up in my life requiring me to collect together some extra funds. Don't really want to talk about it... and I'm not getting out of games, just doing what I can to help with the current needs. When things bounce back I'll get myself back into the game (no pun intended). I'm in Eau Claire, WI which is about an hour and a half east of the Twin Cities and about two and a half hours west of Madison... right off of I-94.
Anyways, here's what I've got... I've added a few pics to this post but will get more/better ones Tuesday. They are all priced individually with the general price I would like to get for each game but I guess, due to my current need, I'm open to offers... or make an offer on the whole lot.
-Virtua Racing (single upright) - $150 - This game looks nice. I picked this up from a friend of Chris25810's back before Thanksgiving. Typical expected scratches on the side art but honestly I think it looks great. It comes with a spare boardset that works but I believe the video board is shot. I ended up just picking up a whole new boardset from a KLOVer. The cab is not perfect but nice. The pic shown below was when the game was buried. I will get better pics Tuesday.
-Vs. Dualsystem (upright) - $200 w/o a game - $250 w/ Vs. Balloon Fight - I'm hesitant to sell this one as I love this cabinet... I've priced it a bit higher than what it would normally go for due to that... but man I could use the money so who knows. Cab is in decent condition. In order to get it into my doorways and down to the basement I had to disassemble the control panel completely and then put it back together with L-brackets and braces in case I did ever have to remove the game again. I built a new base for the cab but since it was sitting on the bottom without a base the two front corners are missing and need to be reconstructed. The overlays on the cp's are pretty beat up but I do have 2 NOS overlays I would include. I also have an extra cp that I would throw in. One of the monitors I have capped, the other I have not but I have the cap kit for it. I will also throw in the few extra Vs. cases I have with a bunch of flyers, marquee glass, etc... and an extra Vs. gun holster. This is a very cool cabinet... just really big. But, like I said, I have made sure that it fits through standard doorways.
The pic shown below shows a gun and holster attached to the right cp... those are no longer there but I have installed a joystick in its spot. I will get more/better pics Tuesday.
-48-1 in Pacman conversion - $150. SOLD TO ALEJANDROMAD - The cab is painted black. The monitor works but needs a cap kit as just recently it started having some issues with the green. I can't recall what monitor it is right off hand but I believe I have the cap kit for it and would throw that in too. It has a "multicade" marquee on it although that could stand to be replaced. I also have a spare overlay I was going to throw on it which you could have. The cp has 2 extra buttons installed on either side of the joystick. I dunno... just want to get back the money I have into it between the original cab and the 48-1 pcb. The pic shown below was when I had a really bad Pac-Man marquee installed. It now has a multicade marquee and, like I wrote above, I have another cpo I received a few months back... just never got it installed.
-Vs. Unisystem w/ Vs. Ice Climber installed (blue DK cab) - $150 - SOLD AND GONE - I picked up this cab empty from KLOVer Low-Gain a few months back. The Vs. Ice Climber marquee was NOS prior to me applying it to plexi although I believe the marquee light needs a new bulb. Game plays great. The coin door currently doesn't have the mechs installed but I do have them and they are included. It's missing the backdoor. This is another one I hate to get rid of but it will be easy to pick up again when the time is right. See the pic below. I will get more/better pics Tuesday.
-Paperboy (project) - $500 - SOLD AND GONE - I picked this game up from KLOVer Low-Gain as working but needing restoration so I decided it was going to be my first full restoration. It is currently stripped down to the bare wood and the entire front of the cab was removed. I still have all of the parts and they are all noted as to where they go. The cab is mostly sanded down and bondoing has been done although I probably have 2 hours of bondoing/sanding/touching up to finish before going on to the next step. Included is everything you need to finish the restoration except for new feet and locks. It comes with new white and black vinyl, new repro side art, a new repro cpo, a new repro handlebar overlay, new NOS (I believe) handlebar grips, an extra cp, all the items necessary to rebuild the power supply and the AR-III pcb, a new can of polyurethane, and new t-moulding for the entire cab. Right now I have $600 into the original purchase and all of the parts/supplies I have had to pick up for it. This one would suck to let go but the restoration just isn't in the cards any time soon. I have somewhere between 6 - 8 hours of work into this one already as well as $30 in gas but if you wanted it for $500 I would let it go for that. Dude, it will suck to let that one go but it's necessary.
Yeah, that's that. If I sold them all it would leave me with only my Mario Bros widebody, my Gamebox 450-in-1 and my Pinbot... I'm not ready to get rid of those. All of these games are in my basement and would need to come straight up 13 stairs to get outside. I can help you get the games out although I don't have the time right now to get them out of the basement myself. With that said, I also don't really feel like prepping anything for shipping unless you can arrange the game being removed from the basement, prepped, and shipped on your own. I am, though, willing to remove any dead weight parts (i.e. monitors, cps, etc) that would aid in us in reducing the weight to get the game out of the basement if you came over to pick it up. I can get more pics if there is interest although it would probably not be until tomorrow (Tuesday).
