INTEREST CHECK: Nintendo Punch-Out!!/Dual Playchoice 10 Harness Reproductions

Last week I finished up a small run of Punch-Out/Dual PC-10 Harness replicas and they all sold on the first day. They use the same color and gauge wire, identical molexes, etc. as the originals. Only modification from original is that the power wires are a few inches longer to accommodate those that choose to not use the original filter board.

I'm trying to gauge interest on how many more of these to make. So far it looks like I have at least 6 more sets that are needed, so I will make at least one more run of them.

Let me know what you think and I'll add you to the wait list in order of requests received.

Here were the individual prices for each of the harness pieces, but I'm willing to knock these prices down slightly depending on the interest and bulk purchases (i.e., a full set of PO, full set of PC10, etc.). Priority Mail shipping is included in the pricing.

Punch-Out!!/Playchoice-10 Dual Main PCB Harness (with 2 audio and 2 video cables)- $140
Punch-Out Control Panel Harness - $25
Dual PC-10 Control Panel Harness (Both CP harnesses) - $35
Dual PC-10 20 pin Harness (From PCB to Control Panel) - $45
Switching Power Supply Wiring Adapter - $15
Coin Door Wiring (no light bulb fixtures, just quick disconnects to hook up your own fixtures) - $10

Respond in the thread and let me know if you want a set!

Thanks everyone for the great comments and messages. So far it looks like around another 12 full sets will satisfy the current requests out there. If you are interested in a set, then please let me know.

Punchout harness

I got mine in the mail today. It was even better than the pictures show! For anyone considering it, this is well worth the money. Thanks again, Tony. Jon

Wound up making a dozen sets and just shipped all paid orders. Looks like I have one extra full PC10 Dual set available if anyone still needs one. PM me if you want it (I stuck with the prices listed in the original post).

After receiving my PC10 Dualscreen harness from apswann I am sad to say I can't use it in my rebuild. The harness is just too pretty and I think I'll just mount it on the wall instead! [emoji38]

Recently had some more requests so I made another batch of these. If anyone needs a harness set, please let me know.

Switching Power Supply Wiring Adapter - $15

Why do the two AC power wires have spade terminals on both ends? To connect to the factory Punch-Out wiring harness they need to go into a Molex 3191 series 3-position connector on one end, like the one that's panel-mounted on the original power supply:

I purposely did not terminate the AC-IN portion with a molex due to the fact that the stock molex leads are actually supplying 100V AC (because that's what the majority of Nintendo power supplies are rated at...I think only dedicated Playchoice and Playchoice countertops use power supplies that want 120V).

Most brand new switching power supplies purchased now are rated at 120V, so by using the spade connectors, the user can connect them to the proper terminals on the power distribution block on the power transformer at the bottom of the cabinet. Hope that explanation helps.

The switching power supply in the picture I posted above is a Mean Well MWP-606 which says on its label that it's rated for 110-120 VAC input (as well as 220-240), but it worked fine with the 100 VAC input from the stock Molex connector (actually 103.4 VAC according to my meter).

I'm using that Mean Well power supply for something else now and have a new Peter Chou IMP-44-1015 power supply in there, and that one says it's rated for 95-135 VAC (as well as 190-260), and of course that one works fine with ~100 VAC input as well. The popular Happ Power Pro is also rated for 95-135 VAC:

I'd be surprised if there's any JAMMA type switching power supply out there that doesn't run fine off ~100 VAC. The standard that brought them about in the first place is Japanese (JAMMA = Japan Amusement Machine and Marketing Association), and last I knew, arcades were much bigger in Japan than in the US. I can't imagine any JAMMA power supply manufacturer bothering to make separate designs for the 100 VAC Japanese market and the 120 VAC US market when it's so easy to make one design that works for both markets.

Wound up making a couple extra sets of these full harnesses last week. Ready to ship now with no waiting. Send a PM if you want one.

do you have a parts number for the quick disconnects you used? They look much nicer than the standard pink/blue/yellow ones you find at lowes or home depot.
