I was asked to see if I could make a run of the smaller panel to fit a Sinistar /Bubbles cabinets. I am posting to see what interest there might be in these. I am also thinking of running the normal sized panels to fit Joust/Robotron cabs as well. I could also possibly offer a combo deal with the Phoenix MW overlay with the purchase of a panel. Pricing would be similar to what they were previously. So, post up if interested. Indicate which cab and QTY.

Legend: MWP = regular multi williams panel (Joust/Robotron)
SMWP = short multi williams panel (Sinistar/Bubbles)

Interest List:

Cleverlyj SMWP & CPO
Grbgemen MWP & CPO
Jwe MWP & CPO
Waterborn & MWP & CPO

now troy, i have to ask - with interest in each length control panel, do we have to have a certain number of interest in each style (say 20 robotron and 20 bubbles/sinistar) before we could procede or could it be a mix of both?

Well, I am hoping I can do a mixed lot. I do not have a smaller panel to compare with, but if it is identical to the original larger panel, minus the width, I should be able to do them all on the same run. Do they have the same profile/bends as the larger panel?

as far as i know, yes. however, i have never had another williams cab to compare it to. hopefully someone has a robotron or joust that can chime in. visually they appear to be the same.

Has anyone put one of the joust/robotron sized MW cpo's on a bubbles/sinistar sized panel? I only have the CPO's sized for joust/robotron silkscreened.. I imagine they could easily be cut down and probably still look good, but I'd like to make sure.

Can some who has a bublbles/sinistar post up some dimesions of the CP?

Here is my Sinistar cp with Darin's MW full size panel artwork that I had cut down. I did this quite a few years ago, shortly after he did his first run on the MW artwork package.

This cab had been converted to some golf game before I got it and the cp was hacked up very badly, so I had to make a new panel for it. I took apart the original one so I could copy it. The attached dimensions were taken off the original panel. Probably goes without saying, but the Sinistar panel is 23" wide.

Any questions, just let me know...

Thats perfect, thanks for posting that.

Couple questions:

How much did you have to trim off?

How does it attach, hinge?

How does it fit onto the cab, is there wood supports on the inside of the cab that support the edge of the panel?

Hard to say exactly how much I had to trim, I think I did this around 2002 or 2003, whenever Darin first ran the MW artwork???

But isn't the Joust/Robotron panel about 25" wide? Sinistar is 23" wide, so I guess about 1" from each side needed to be trimmed off. Looking at the artwork in my first pic, that looks about right.

Yes, the panel is hinged and the upper edge rests against the ledge the bezel glass rests on. Here is the pic:

Perfect, So it appears I can make the same panel for the smaller cab, just make it the correct width. All the holes will be in the same place too.
I'll have to see if a local has a cab and maybe get a proto made to see how it all fits.

Now, it was brought to my attention that people would maybe prefer studs rather than stand offs. What would you guys prefer. Majority rules.

Moon Patrol is a LOT smaller - I'll measure it tonight. I have one for sale and it's out where I can look at it.
