Pics of the half track or it don't exist!I am the one holding this up at the moment. I have not been able to get it shipped just yet. I am working on it but also getting my truck, trailer, and half track ready for the Columbus Airshow next weekend.
I have a friend that flew back east with another friend... his friend wanted to buy a Deuce and a half.... they flew out, bought it and drove it back to the west coast... and of course nothing went smoothly.... it took them near a week and a half with all kinds of everything that went wrong... not sure what my friend was thinking when he signed on for that trip.... but "it was an adventure" probably didn't even come close to describing what really happened.
How'd your showing at the airshow go?... asking for a friendI was finally able to get this out to Takeman. He should have gotten it today. I hope this allows him to remake new panels.
Was good but the 3 and a half hour trip in a regular vehicle takes 5 hours with a military M925 towing an equipment trailer with the M2A1 halftrack on it. Longest trek to a show so far with the combo. I want to upgrade to a semi truck or large medium duty truck to do the hauling duties. The M925 does 60 mph max and slows down on hills. How'd your showing at the airshow go?... asking for a friend

I just finished a 640mile drive today in my 14' boxtruck from SF Bay Area to my place in Twin Falls ID. Normally a 9.5 hrs drive by car... 13hrs in my truck. I was loaded @ 12K# rolling... it has a non turbo NA Diesel.... plenty of power to maintain 40-45 climbing Donner Summit as well as the 3 big grades through Nevada... just not very fast... I keep it at 65-68 on the highway so I can see a bit over 10mpg... if I try to do 75-80 as posted thru Nevada, that mileage plummets hard and fast. Was good but the 3 and a half hour trip in a regular vehicle takes 5 hours with a military M925 towing an equipment trailer with the M2A1 halftrack on it.
