Interest Check - BattleZone and Tempest Crimped Interconnect Cables

Hello, I am trying to gauge if there is much interest in BattleZone and Tempest Interconnect Cables with Crimped Trifurcon ends.

The Stock cables rather suck, and I was going to make a set for my games, and thought maybe others might like these.

For those who are not familuar with Trifurcon ends here is the difference.

Regular End has contact on ONE Side

A Trifurcon End contacts 3 sides. (Note Check to see if you have round or square Header Pins on your boards. If not I recommend replacing them to square pins)

Here is a BattleZone stock cable and my cable beside it.

Bob Roberts sells the stock ones for $20.00 plus shipping.

I was thinking $25.00 Shipped for either BZ or Tempest Cables

Custom Lengths and other Connectors Available Upon Request.

I appreciate any input or orders.
I am just waiting on my order of more parts to make them if anyone wants any.

Thank You Kindly.
Ken

Kewl man! Thanks for the post! I was starting to think no one was interested at all. LOL

I JUST ordered a set from Bob Roberts. I don't think his has separate connectors like yours??? Yours would be much easier to take off the pcb instead of one huge connector like the stock ones.
I'll have to see what Bob's looks like. If I like yours better, I'll take a set.

Hi, his work great, but there always seems to be issues with the interconnects on these games. Be it the header pins on the board or the cable. I am using crimp Trifurcon type connectors that contact more of the pin surface of course making a better connection.
Let me know if you want one.
Thanks :)

Next you need to make really good properly sized MCR cables. :)

Hi! I totally would if i was given the length of the wire and how many pins it needs, etc. ;)

Oh no you wouldn't. :)

You'd be crazy to do it -- tons of wires and lots of effort. Or you'd have to charge $50 a set to make it worthwhile and few people would go for that.

LOL well I am a little crazy! LOL I actually have a lot of time on my hands as I am on disability, so am looking at little projects to help keep me busy and make a couple of bux to put back into this addiction....errr hobby :D

You are probably right though, but certainly something i would look at.
