Instrumental song in Flynn's arcade at the beginning of Tron?

I'm sure you know what I am talking about. It sounds a LOT like a Journey guitar "jam". It has no lyrics (at least not during the part played in the movie) and is not on the soundtrack. I seriously doubt that Journey would record a 15 to 20 second looping "guitar jam" for the scene in the movie, so I would expect that it is part of a song?

All of this talk (hype) about the new Tron movie has kind of put that music in my head. Especially with the screen shots of the "Encom"-ized Tron cabinet from the upcoming movie. Anyone know what it is???

Nope. Only solutions is not the song I am talking about. This is at the VERY beginning of the movie when a game player starts a "light cycles" game. I think that he says something like "I wanna play light cycles" or "Let's play light cycles". He grips a joystick that looks like a tron joystick and plays a "simulated" version of light cycles on what appears to be a prototype Tron style cabinet. Only solutions was played later during the sequence when Flynn was introduced. Flynn even used the phrase "only solutions" at some point during the movie.

The "song" that I am talking about sounds like a guitar solo that is SLIGHTLY similar in tones to the tron "theme" only re-arranged...

STILL Nobody can answer this??? With all the Tron "mania" going on right now, I figured somebody on here would know. Very odd...

"There are two songs in the movie that were deleted from the final cut. These songs are "Lightcycle Games" and the second half of "Ending Titles", which was replaced with "Only Solutions" by the rock band, Journey. "Lightcycle Games" was originally meant to be played during the lightcycle sequence, but was removed. This song did not appear on the LP nor CD releases of the Tron Soundtrack, but rather on Wendy Carlos' "Rediscovering Lost Scores Vol. 2", which includes other unreleased music from Tron and studio demos. The only song that has not been released is the cue that plays when Lora Baines and Dr. Walter Gibbs are introduced, which, ironically, is a shorter version of "Lightcycle Games" played by the orchestra."
