I am attempting to rewire a cabinet with .100 housings like found in many Midway cabinets, but I am having the hardest time getting the wire properly connected into the housing. Any tips for this? Pictured is the housing I am attempting to use.image.jpg

Those connectors are IDC and use a special punchdown tool, per the late Ken Layton replying to a question I had about those a while back.

The recommendation was to use molex connectors instead of those since they fit onto the connectors so I went that route instead since I had the tools to crimp those pins.

Most of the Pinball parts houses carry an assortment of IDC punchdown tools and that is what you need for your application.

As others have mentioned, the Molex KK series and Trifurcon pins are superior in nearly all applications
