I pulled all the parts and plugged this bad boy in where the pins fit.

Ended up being Q100 (e) Q 101(e) and zd105 (mismarked, supposed to be r105 I think)

Anyway, the game didn't blow up and I played it for an hour, so I guess I didn't mess it up too bad huh?

I will try to get in there and shoot a pic. I didn't think to take pictures as I went.

It's mostly a lot of desoldering and pulling old diodes, etc, and then soldering 5 spots with the low voltage unit.

I put it on the major havoc deflection board. The space dule already has a lv2000. I like major havoc more, so I put mark's kit on the MH.

ok I am doing another one of these for a tempest of a guy I know.

I want to make sure I pull all the right parts and none of the wrong ones.

I intend to pull:
r101 r103 r102 r100
q101 d105 zd101 d104 q100
c103 c102 (caps)

do I pull:
zd100
d100

?
thanks

ok, I looked at my other lv6100 installation and figured out to pull zd but not d100.

I have a question about a lifted trace though.

zd101 where the single point of the lv6100 is inserted has a 1/2 lifted trace.
Can I jumper that over to C101 since it's in the same 'field' ?

I mean it's soldered to the half trace, and seems to be good, but if I can jumper it over I would.

Yes, you can jumper over. I have seen so many deflection boards with torn traces that the only way I can get them to work is with an LV6100 or equivalent. Nothing looks more ass than a butt load of jumpers all over a board. Keep the work neat and you should be good to go. I don't have a defelection board in front of me but if the two points are in the same "field" then yes, you can jumper over to another good point.

ok here is a picture of what I did to the board.

the pictures look like I got it connected to that right pad, I do not.
It is also hard to tell from the pictures that the spot on the top (with the wire connected) is in the same field, but it is at the tip of the field where the other wire is.

does this look acceptable (not considering the craftsmanship) :)

for the record I will mention once again, this is the single prong of the lv6100 at the top of the picture, being jumpered to another spot.
