I took today of from work and am headed out to buy some supplies to put shelves in the gameroom:

The plan is to run one shelf around the wall right above the tallest game - this shelf will be used to hold arcade knick knacks like arcade-related toys, etc from the 80s (some here: http://thebrokenjoystick.com/pictures/gameroom_decor ) and each game's flyer will be framed and sitting on the shelf above the game. I'm thinking this will look really good. I'll then put some arcade art above the shelves all around - marquees, framed sideart and posters, etc.
This is my weekend project. I'll take some BEFORE pics today and take pics as it progresses through the weekend. Still trying to decide what color to paint the shelves. if I do black they will blend in with the wall which might be cool but I was thinking about paining them a UV-reactive color so they pop in the blacklight. I also thought to save money I could paint them black nd just paint the edge UV-reactive. Not sure what I'm going to do.
UPDATE: ok, my wallet is now $65 lighter thanks to Home Depot
