Most cap kits come with a "cheat sheet" that tells you the location where it goes. Also pay attention to the polarity of the cap - meaning the stripe on the side of the cap and the longest leg is the negative side. If you put it in backwards you can expect to hear a pop which isn't good. Take your time, use your DMM, put it on continuity test and test each leg of the capacitor and resistors to the next point on the trace to ensure you have a good solder joint.
