I've posted on a few other threads with almost no response...
Can someone please help me understand how I can play two PCB's (UMK3 and MK3) in an UMK3 cabinet using a JAMMA multi-switcher (either a 6-in-1…not preferred…or a 2-in-1…which is more preferential.) What do I need to buy and what do I need to modify (if anything) to do this?
I am completely new and clueless to how this works, I've just read other places that I CAN do this.
Thanks!

This Is what you need, no soldering needed. http://www.mikesarcade.com/cgi-bin/store.pl?sku=DBLJAMMA

I'm not sure about the 2-in-1, but on the 6-in-1, you MUST use diodes for each harness to block the signals from the other board's harness that cause ground feedback. Here is a video explaining how to do the harness mods...

Thanks for the help guys. I was hoping to be able to avoid all the modification stuff (basically hoping to be able to "disconnect from here plug into there" and go) but I guess it won't be that easy. : /

Thanks again!

really its not too hard (if i can do it anyone can do it) It may seem overwhelming but it's pretty simple. I can help you if you do decide to do it.

Does Mike's Double JAMMA Adapter have mounting holes in the PCB to use PCB feet? I can't tell from the pic. Or does it just dangle inside the cab..

Try the Kick Harness Condenser at Summitt Arcade before diving into the mod. Ask if it will work for your application. If not, he may have a suggestion or do one up custom. The mod is easy but tedious.

The kick harness condenser works great. I had MK1, MK2, UMK3, and WWF in my old cab and it all ran flawlessly. Was using a 6 in 1 switcher modded for -5v and Service and the Kick harness condenser.
