Installed LED's in my Space Shuttle pin...what a difference!

I decided to video my LED upgrade on my Williams Space Shuttle machine. It really makes a 30 yr old machine come back to life. I tried out a lot of different styles that Comet Pinball offers and got pretty good results. If you are iffy as to what bulbs you should choose for your machine this vid may help you out!

LEDs are great, esp in colored inserts. The ones out now are a big improvement over a few years ago.

I still like the old style for playfield GI though. I do like LEDs in the backbox, can really make it pop if done right.

I was looking at a Star Trek Pro that I unboxed a few days ago (they come factory from Stern with all LED's). Stern added these piggy back boards on the lamp matrix outputs with resistor on the boards. I think they are there to eliminate ghosting.

Good idea to do it in the backbox so that way you can get regular LED's and not worry about ghosting.

That SS looks killer BTW.
