I recently got a bunch of the illuminated pushbuttons that Bryan Armitage sells. (http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/3-pushbuttons)

I saw how they looked in Phetishboy's Double Dragon restore and wanted to try some out for myself. I put the buttons in my Ultracade cocktail and my Robocop cabinet. For the Robo machine, I used the buttons with the chrome casing. I also got the 1 player-2 player inserts for the start buttons.

Bryan sells a great product and I'm happy with how everything came out.

Here are the pics from the Ultracade:

Those look really nice! I'm considering replacing the current buttons in my AD project and my Star Trek with these.

Questions: I believe these all take 12vts, is that right? Where did you tap into for the power?

How do you like the feel of the buttons? Original buttons have a concave curve to them and these appear to be a flat top button - am I right?

What tension of microswitch did you use? How does it feel?

TIA for the info.
Tom

Yeah, I just saw that one Phet, sorry, didn't realize you had a thread going other than the DD restore thread.

Perhaps the mods can merge or just delete this thread altogether?

No problem, I really don't care too much about this sorta thing, but it doesn't make a lot of sense to have several threads on the same topic. The longer I hang out here, the easier I like things to be.

Thanks. Yes, they are 12v. For the Ultracade, I just used the 12v lines that were coming off of the atx power supply. For robo, I connected to he 12v output on the switcher.

The buttons are convex so they feel a bit different, but not in a bad way...and they have 50 gram microswitches.

Heres some pics of the buttons and some pics of my little game room.Still improving on things im just glad i got them out of the garage and into the airconditioning.Oh and the Donkey kong I have in the pics I ve had scince 1982.Peace!!
