So I was digging around in my garage and found a Clays kit in my stash that I forgot I even had. Doh ! Got this thing from Mike Snider probably 7-8 years ago and forgot that i even had it. Probably more versions of Pac than I care to play but w/e, it was a quick install even without instructions and works pretty well. The only thing I dont like is having to reboot the game to get to the menu unless there is some other way ? i dont have instructions. I think that is what the 2 pin connector is for ? Anyone else have one of these ?

I wired a switch back to the reset as mentioned on mine. I find that MsPac fast is the only game really played on it when I have people over.

Now that I have a switch installed and hidden in the coin return slot it's pretty cool but most of the versions are just kinda meh. I really just cared about Ms Pac so I am set.

Heh... that's why 6 Pac only has 6 games ;)

I agree having different variations of pac/ms pac is lame. However the option to have pengo and super pacman with the speed hack ms pac/pac on one machine is WELL worth the money for Doyles kit. The 96-1 is superior!

THE best...

...but it's not on any of the kits since pacman lacks scrolling hardware :)

FWIW, although Pengo plays on 96-1, I can't stomach playing it because the sounds are 'off' due to minor variations in the sound circuitry between the 2 boards (despite Pengo being essentially being a copy of Pacman hardware).

To be honest Friz I was suprised to see JR mentioned. I haven't seen it on my 96-1. I think it's another variation instead of the actual JR. There's so much shit on that 96-1 maybe I've missed it? Hopefully Mike pipes up and ads clarity here.

The 96-in-1 lists Jr. Pac.... I guess that's a Pac hack rather than actual Jr. Pac Man?

Jr is not on the kit for obvious reasons, there is however a crappy version of superpac. There are some weird versions of pac for kids like cookie monster or something. There are even some crazy versions of mazes that cannot be completed, not sure what is up with that.

Even if you were to hack out of the code use of the additional board features, extra colors/extra gfx/sprite priority, which IIRC were only used in the attract mode and intermissions, there's no way to get around the missing scroll hardware, as mentioned earlier.
