There was a comment in another thread about the game submission tool (etc). New games have been adding up in queue. A while back I asked for help with this and a few people stepped up, but then burned out before we got very far with the queue. There is a similar issue with a number of the other site functions--the backend system is great for someone versed in it, but much much less so towards a casual crowd edit perspective. It's long vexed me here.
We have had a few people PM me to offer to help in the last 6 weeks. I've been working crazy hours so haven't been able to work with them much. Things are getting a tiny bit better so I am looking to spend at least a half a day (probably a week from tomorrow) working on site functionality.
We also have some volunteers helping to scan pinball era content and we have some already scanned waiting to go online.
I posted a thread a week back month asking for some deep tech help and the subject matter was probably a little too esoteric for anyone to help (http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=364009 ). I think I need to reach out for this work... I'm thinking of trying Upwork (or eLance) but my experience in the past with this has been really mixed. If anyone has suggestions on where I should hunt for (1) good back end developers -- PHP, C, SQL and/or javascript mix, and (2) good front end developments (css, HTML5, design), please let me know...
