I did several searches but didn't come up with a thread on this... but I coulda swore I remember finding a thread on it.

Anyway; I'm restoring my Star Trek Sega Captain's chair and am considering replacing the rubber floor matting and the seat carpet.

Didn't someone find replacments for these somewhere?

Anyone have any ideas?

I replaced mine with flooring carpet from Home Depot. Matched the seat, and the carpet looked a million times better than the grimey rubber matting.

Thanks - I was trying to maintain the stock look to some degree - but I'll admit yours does look nice. I threw the center rubber matting into the bathroom sink and scrubbed on it and a lot of the grime came off. I may try that or go your route.

Did you replace the metal siding on yours as well?

How are the two halves of the arcade attached to each other?
It's hard to tell from your pictures but it looks like something is bolted across the bottom floors.

I didnt replace the metal rails, no. I couldnt find anything close. But I did replace the black baseboard. And yes, there are 2 brackets, 1 on each side that keep the game together. They are held on with 4 bolts each.

Sega built this game horribly. Disassembling this game was pure HELL. Cool cosmetically, but terrible structural design.

Humm... I don't have the brackets. I'll have to figure out how to get them reproed.

yeah; I'm seeing the diassembly problem on my restoration. Getting at the damaged parts was very challenging.
