Never seen one of these before, does anyone know anything about them? Good? Junk? I don't think I care for how it looks.. Is this a hack job or?

I just saw a cabinet like this one when I took the little one to ChuckE'Cheeses yesterday. The original game was a bowling game. I can't remember the exact title. It had a bowling ball sized trackball in the middle of the control panel.

That is a United Artist cab... they used those cabs in their theaters... they're very easy to swap games on...the PCB and what not are located in a drawer behind the control panel... the marquee is also on the control panel "drawer"... to swap a game they'd just bring a new drawer and replace the one in the cab.

Here is a pic of one... they were made for UATA (United Artists Theater Amusements)...

Wow, awesome info Frizzle! Explains the commercial look to the game for sure. Looks like something you'd see in a theater gameroom also, so it makes sense.

As for switchable games goes, I'd rather buy a cheap Z-cab and use that for my multi or quick change jamma cab.. they look so much better.
