there is one on ebay just a few hours south of me. I have never played it but it sounds like it would be fun.Kinda scared that the size would be a draw back but would it be easy to sell or trade if I did not like it? Can anyone tell me there opinions on this one. Also the one on ebay is missing the side panels that fold out on the head? Is this something that came on all of them or just an extra add on?

I think they made some without the wings and some with the wings

No. All SC had wings when they were new. Some operators either never installed them or got thrown away with the packaging when the games were new.

I had wings on my SC but now I removed them to make the game fit into a tight spot in my gameroom.

The side panels (wings) do not fold out. They look like they would but they are a fixed position panel once installed. You can not just open and close them.

Over the years someone did reproduce the wings. SC are hard to come by. It took me 5 years and $2k to find it. While $2000 is cheap is todays pin pricing it was not several years ago. Most SC are missing lots of the tokens but they are also reproduced now.

SC is a good game in a large collection but in a small one it tends to get old.

If you can get it for a good price buy it. Don't worry about the wings you can always find them later.

Also - Don't let the small size of this game fool you. This game is heavy. It feels heavier than a regular size pinball machine.

It looks tiny but it is only 2 1/4 inches narrower. A little shorter. And way heavier.

And to work on anything under the playfield, pretty much everything is in the way of something else.

And the game shipped with drop targets lubed, so plan on cleaning that crap out of there if someone else hasn't yet. Not needed and gums up everything to the point of not working.

Great game, lots of fun. If you restart the next game within 30 seconds with a magic token, you are in the assault the vault mode.

LTG :)

SC is an excellent game.. plays better with Back Alley Creations 1inch pinballs.
Needs some careful tuning, when it's not level or the angle of the playfield is incorrect it can be no fun to play.. but once set it's excellent
and you sure need to be able to make the left ramp shot..
deep rules with different strategy paths
fun and very fast game.. you won't have long games (certainly not like on LOTR) so it's excellent in a collection to have a different type of game

I've played and played and played this game, TRYING to like it cuz it's interesting and it's a Lawlor.

I give up.

I don't like it...same with Twilight Zone...I just can't get into it.

Oh well, we don't have to like every game...but Safecracker's not for me.

That being said, it's pretty rare - so, if the price is right ....pick it up! LOL
