I have an empty ms. pac that im converting over to a galaga however i may go the reunion board route.

What is normal price for these?

Does Galaga play well with the 4 way?

Does it save high scores with initials?

What wiring scheme is it?

Is it worth it if you already have a ms. pac but need a galaga board. I dont want to use a multiboard.

Thanks guys.

The reunion board is JAMMA, but it's modified to use 4 start buttons, since it has 2 each for Ms Pac and Galaga. It does save high scores (and allows continues, but you can turn that off). It only saves initials for Galaga though, since Ms Pac (and the hidden Pac, via joystick combo) don't have initials. You can also toggle the speed of Pac, Ms Pac, and the shots in Galaga via a joystick/button code after coining it up. I wouldn't think having a 4-way for Galaga would make much of a difference. What makes more of a difference is having an 8-way for 4-way games, since hitting diagonals causes problems, but with Galaga, that's not an issue.

It's an expensive way and I personally would avoid drilling it for 4 start buttons.
I play Galaga on my Ms. Pacman with an Arcade Shop board and it's pretty good. I also just use the P2 start button for fire. It's a little weird so far away but once you get going, you don't notice it.

On the original Ms Pacman joystick it plays fine.

Working Reunion boards are pretty expensive. $300??
If you are a bargain basement dude, go for a 60:1

You can also get a JAMMA to Pac cab adaptor for pretty cheap but you need to hack in a switcher to give +5V to the JAMMA harness. I personally just hooked up a throw away AC adaptor.

No wonder my reunion board sold really quick. I sold it for 235 shipped.

I have seen the game listed on ebay recently for 250.

I had mine sold here on the forum in 5 minutes.
