There is a Taito Battle Shark at the Tilt Arcade and while walking by, a friend pointed out Charles Bronson in the attract mode. I was like 'holy shit.' I love Bronson so I took a photo. Clearly it's him, but they used a pair of sunglasses to alter the image and make no reference to his name...but it's totally him.

Can you think of any other famous people appearing in video games? Specifically the ones where the designers make subtle changes to avoid any legal issues, but use just enough of their likeness to get the point across.

Tom Berenger on the Spy Hunter marquee (and a more cartoony version on the Bank Panic marquee).

Have any of you guys played Broforce on the PS4 network? It's a really fun game, and every character is a direct ripoff of an 80's/90's action hero (with the word "bro" worked into the name... like "Rambro.")

Possibly the most in one game, is mat mania. In the crowd you can see:

Superman
Batman & Robin
ZZ Top
Popeye
Alien
Stevie Wonder
John Travolta
The Jackson Five
The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters
Darth Vader and Princess Leia, from the Star Wars series.

Of course in Punch Out, there's DK, DK JR, and Mario.

That's amazing!

President Bill Clinton (and possibly Hillary) at the end of Crusin' USA

I always thought Spy Hunter looked like Jeff Fahey, but he may not have been famous when that game came out.

Kind of the opposite scenario, but I'm told the reason that Marty McFly is wearing sunglasses on the Back to the Future pinball backglass is because they did not have the rights to use Micheal J Fox's likeness in the license.

That is correct. They used the artists son instead. It's worse on the actual playfield (he's not wearing sunglasses there). For whatever reason Michael J didn't want to use his likeness in the game.

I remember seeing Michael Jackson doing the Moon Walk in a game before, but I can't remember the name of it...

:D
