What's up fellas,

Had a friend stop by & he got to see my Mortal Kombat cabinet.
I guess he was impressed with the way it turned out, that he Hired me to restore his pinball side art.

I told him, You gut it, deliver it, & I'll apply it. (I didn't think he Would.)
Well, Here it is. Here's another project. We'll see how this one goes.

Since My other projects are on hold at the moment. (Waiting for my CPO's to arrive.)
I can squeeze this one in.

I thought I share with you guys the Resto Process. I'll add photos from time to time since everyone loves pictures.

Wish me Luck.

(GUYS, keep your arcades away from the sun. Treat it as if your own kid was a vampire.)

yummy!!!!!!

Other CPO's????!?!?! pm me about this news (don't wanna jack your thread like a bike).

False advertising! I thought this was Atari's Indy! ;-)

Nice game (both).

It's rare to see an Indy cab without fade. It's unreal how much it faded when you look at where it was protected by the coin door frame and the backbox hinge. By the way, where is the backbox? Have you seen the playfield? Is it faded as well?

Good luck with your restoration. I love my IJ. I had to go through 3 of them to find my keeper. Search RGP and high end pins to get some tips.
Are you sure that's NOS art? Williams screen printed directly to the cabinet back then. They started using decals in 97-98 with monster bash I believe.

The back box is in the house, The Playfield is still good. Legs, Glass trim, Coin door, the Trigger gun,
& everything that is metal is getting "Gold Plated" right now.

Good Question Fiz. The owner of the game that gave me the Art said it was. I did trimmed them to down to make them easier to line up.
I did notice that the all have the screening indexes on all sides, & I can feel the ink layers. So who knows.... I assume they are NOS or a damn good repo.

Currently restoring the wood. It had a security bar, that is now removed.

More to come soon...

Oh good, they are screened. There are some ink jet versions out there. Those will look beautiful. I recommend practicing cutting the decal edges. The angle is different for a pinball cabinet and they need to be darn near perfect because there is no t-molding to act as a buffer where the corners meet.

I completely agree. Been practicing over & over. Its that front kick panel that Im a bit nervous about. has to be precisely cut.

Well see..
