Does Indiana (Williams) hit the thumper when an extra ball is achieved? Mine used to but after a battery change it stopped doing that. So I tried a factory reset..no luck. Was kind of cool. Thumper still works in test and when high scores are achieved. Maybe someone out there with an Indy can chime in.

Thanks

Funny, I've had mine forever and never really thought about it. Just turned it on to check, and nope, no thump.

Maybe it was an error in the first place. Only had the machine for about 6 weeks now. Anyway wheeeew. You guys just made my night.

Thanks a lot

I guess I need to pay more attention. I also need to put some foam on the mode saucer back plate so it doesn't bounce out so much. I hate it when that happens.

I hate when that happens. Explain this foam thing to me, though. I wasn't aware anything could be done.

There is remedies for that problem posted on RGP....

I always wondered why they just didn't make that a scoop? Probably a cost thing?

pinbits sells some Drop Dead foam you can put in the scoop to help reduce the bounce off the stop. It does help. Also try to adjust the stop so the ball hits it more squarely and bounces straighter into the hole. I'm not sure yet if my Cliffy makes the bounce problem better or worse.

You can adhere one of those blue foam squares (used vertically as lane dividers in some recent games) or other foam to the back deflector plate so the ball doesn't bounce out. Some adhesive-backed foam weatherstripping tape might also work. This trick works great on the barad-dur scoop in LotR (upper right corner of pf). [Remove the small post from the scoop area when adding foam.]

IJ doesnt hit the knocker on an extra ball, however I believe what you may be thinking of is if you have the Reply Reward set to extra ball. In that case, you would hear the knocker and be awared an extra ball.

I guess I should clarify. My IJ will activate the knocker for extra ball when I:

• Light the Path of Adventure then shoot the right ramp to play on the raised mini playfield. Steer the ball over the lit rollovers and as soon as the first set have been collected, the second hole will be lit for an EB.

• Light the four I-N-D-Y rollovers 4 times to increase bonus to 8X and light Extra Ball at the Start Mode saucer. Collect by shooting the saucer.

• Light the Hand of Fate from the inlanes. When collected at the Start Mode hole it will sometimes light an EB. Shoot Start Mode again to collect it.

• Shoot Start Mode for Survive the Rope Bridge, cross the bridge and Extra Ball will be lit at the Mode saucer. Shoot Start Mode to collect.

• Shoot Start Mode to start Raven Bar Video Mode. An Extra Ball is available after about enough bad guys have been blown away. Shoot it to collect.

• Replay or special are awarded ( I have it set for extra ball)

There are a number of reasons why some of you might not have the knocker functioning:

• If your IJ is a reimport, the CPU has 8 dip switches that need to be set as follows: Country Jumpers SW1-SW8: America (Off, Off, On, On, On, On, On, On)

• In the adjustments menu, go to A.3 21 Coin Meter Units and make sure it is turned off. Setting this adjustment other than off establishes the coin unit for a meter attached to the knocker driver and overrides the knocker during awards.

• Installing L7 game roms and L3 sound roms. Earlier roms were said to be buggy.

• OPTIONAL: In the adjustments menu, go to A.1 14 (Replay) and 15 (Special). Set them to award extra ball.

Hope that helps. DON'T KNOCK IT TIL YOU TRY IT! lol
