Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom - A Fizgig Restoration

Mola Ram, prepare to meet Kali...

I'm a huge Indy fan so this was a lot of fun to put together, the generic system one cabinet just wasn't going to cut it.

My first full custom art package. Lots of trial and error, but mostly error :)
Two packages are:
Mola Ram Edition (pictured) can be with or without logo
Sankara Edition (not pictured)

Started with a decent IJ and took kits and parts from 3 different machines to create this one.

Cabinet and Hardware:

Built brand new black melamine cabinet
Stripped and powder coated CP, bolts, brackets, speaker mesh
New T-molding
New Locks
New Vinyl Casters
New Power Cord
New Speakers
New Marquee Light Fixture/Bulb
Stripped and powder coated coin door
New monitor glass

Cosmetics:

Brand new custom art package, these images came from the movie poster, i scanned them at VERY high resolution, then photoshopped areas to work with the cabinet design (added flames, moved things around, etc) I then added effects so that the image looked seamless and layered the logo on top.

New monitor bezel from Joeycuda
NOS control panel, plug and play is so nice
NOS marquee
NOS self test sheet
Custom Atari coin inserts with LEDs

Electronics:

Cleanup/restored inside guts: power supply, wire harness, PCB, etc.
NOS 19 Vision Pro Monitor
New Fan
New Speakers

Do you have some awesome empty gameroom rapidly filling up? Where are all these pristine gems ending up?

Wow! the game looks amazing, I think this game originally should of came out like this with all the new added art. Will you be selling that art as a kit to others?

Thanks, and yes these will be available to buy at some point, this is the prototype.

Wow....

....Man that looks friggin' cool!

I didn't see any pictures of the right side of the cabinet, how did you do the art on that side?

Very nice, looking forward to seeing more!

Thanks! I'll see if I took a right side pic. Looks the same just has the logo flipped.

This is f'in ridiculous. I'm running out of things to say about these games. TOD was my first game and I need to fix mine up better eventually, but this is setting the bar to a whole new level. One of the things that's held me back is the lack of a repro CPO. Mine is nice enough (7/10), but since it ain't perfect, i just can't bring myself to get the project started. I can't wait to see your game room finished with all of these beauties!

Yeah, they really skimped on the art for these, you would think with a big name like IJ they would do everything in there power to attract you to it :)

well when you do sell the set I'd be interested and also if you do something for Marble Madness as well that'll be cool.

Unbelievable. That side art looks great. Your restos are so clean. You set a new standard of what a resto should look like. Bravo!

Amazing custom artwork!! Beautiful game! Harrison Ford will be dropping by to play a few games.:D Looking forward to seeing your Ghosts 'n Goblins.
