Incredible technologies GT2k, WCB, SS simple diy switcher question

Been googling most of the evening.
Thinking about putting a world class bowling and shuffleshot in my golden tee 2000 cabinet

I could manually switch the jamma cable when i want to play a diff game but it's a cocktail and that's a pain in the ass.

Since all 3 boards are very similiar... If not all the same with the exception of IC/roms I was wondering if I could simply make a parallel jamma harness or 3 way splitter and just run the +5v and +12v through a rotary switch?

Obviously i'd need to get a couple of trackball splitter harnesses... or tap into the harness.

Would this work since only 1 board would be receiving power at any given time?

Not sure I need to spend the $60-100 for a switcher since these baords are essentially the same and just need to be powered 1 on, 2 off.

Am I thinking about this too simplisticly?

It is a good idea to isolate the inputs / outputs between boards. This can cause issues such as lag, non responsive controls, Ghosting ect... Even with the power "off" to the other boards the one that is active still puts power to them if you don't have them isolated. But not enough, or in the right way to power them up.
