There is a bit more that I just can't think of at the moment(mainly games we got from the Davenport location).

Almost all games will be working 100%(have parts on order and a couple boards out for repair), but will have holes on coin doors from card readers and most will still have readers installed for game activation when available)(Except for Street Fighter II, Xybots, Karate Champ ans S.T.U.N. Runner, I made custom plates that use factory holes).

From what I understand, most games will be on, and setup for free play or external button or card reader activation during demo play.

We are buying a bunch of new games for the store and and transferring games from other locations for us to have for customers when we reopen Dec. 20th.

I will update this thread as more details and games come up.

Are there any reserves or buyer's premiums or any other assorted tricks?

Information needed for auction

Where do you find out any information about this auction? That inventory list is about 90 percent geared towards operators. Most of those games are redemption ticket games. It would seem like if the auction is 20 days from now there would be alot of promotion to get operators to come to it.The average home buyer or klov member is not going to be buying giant ticket or redemption games to put in there home.Is this auction just in person or is it on the internet as well.Is there a buyers premium or not etc.Seems like there are alot of questions for an auction that is less than three weeks away.Any information would be appreciated.

Here is the auction company handling it:

No more games to add but the auction company has an online catalog with pics finally up.

Hope to meet some new people next week. Been busy fixing, cleaning, and adding test play buttons that don't have free play to the games. We will NOT have food to eat as we are not fully operational yet.

If you have any pre-auction questions about any games, drop me a message or post on here and I will try to answer them to the best of my knowledge as I was not taking care of all of the games at the auction.

Here's some info guys...

Alright, I am NOT affiliated with this in any way, just passing along info.

I found info on a auction/bidding site I use. There is an inventory list, pics, info and more on this auction. You also have the option of bidding online for this auction, so if there is something you can't live without but can't be there in person, you are still ready to rock.

Here's the link for the auction: https://www.proxibid.com/asp/Catalog.asp?aid=60287&p=3&sort=0#cnTb

I use proxbid.com to keep up with auctions around the US, and have nothing but good things to say about their service. I really don't want to have to bid against others if I can avoid it, but I can't let these things go to some bum OP when it could go to someone that appreciates these machines.

I am going tomorrow and I will be trying to pick up all 4 of the older 19" machines. If that doesn't work I am just hoping to push some big deluxe thing that no one wants onto the back of my truck for a minimum bid.

I am hoping to get either Big Buck Safari or Big Buck Hunter Pro. *crosses fingers*

But I am doing the online bidding so I have extra fees. Does anyone know how the online bidding works? Do you just bid your maximum, or is it pretty much live streaming, so I put in a bid and it updates with the people live or do they close the online bids prior to the live bidding and let the live bidders bid above online?

Sea Wolf sold for $3000?? Really? Damn. Saw Phet's and suddenly remembered playing it as a kid. Thought it would be cool to have one but not if they go for that much.

Maybe it's just me but these prices sure seem high to me. I like how if I click on an item to get more information, it will allow me to see pics of it and more details, and it will give a suggested opening bid. While the suggested bids seem very reasonable, maybe $50 or $150, most of the time the lowest bid I can make right out of the gate is $500 or even $1000 or more.

From what I am seeing online, I think I am really glad I didn't bother to go.

There is a newer Sea wolf game out there by coastal and 3000 is a decent price on it. It is one of the newer redemption games that is actually fun to play.

LOL...I guess I should have looked at the pics. Someone is selling the original one on eBay for $3995 so I made the mistake of thinking they might be commanding that high of a price.

I didn't realize someone put out an updated version of the same name. I am not really up on games past 1986. ;)

Glad to know that I can probably afford to own one then.

I would have loved to get my hands on the Stun Runner, Karate Champ, and especially, the Xybots. All of them were in very nice condition but they went for too much.

I guess I am stuck trying to somehow restore my beat-up Xybots. I am guessing they don't repro the art for it. :(

I just got back from wasting my day at this auction. First time in 12 years of collecting I have come home empty handed. In fact I lost like $100 between gas and my wife taking a partial day off work to watch the baby while I went.

I went hoping to buy Xybots, Stun Runner, Street Fighter II and Karate Champ. I figured I had a pretty good shot at those since they weren't the sort of things most ops would care about and the 4 of those aren't cool enough to get most collectors to take off work to go to the auction. The Xybots was pretty much mint, the Stun Runner had a serious steering issue (steered in test mode, not in the game), Karate Champ had no sideart and 1 mismatched stick and SF II needed a new overlay, had a mismatched stick and I can't recall if it had sideart or if the marquee, board and overlay all matched up to the same version.

Those 4 brought a combined 1700 after buyer's premium.

Pretty much every other game there went for a grand or more. The few that went less all seemed to have monitor problems that weren't really mentioned (weak monitor, missing color, bleeding color, etc).

I ended up staying until almost the end because they had promised pizza at 12:30 (which materialized at 1:40) and because I had my eye on this little video redemption dinosaur thing that was dead but supposedly had a good monitor. Even that brought $100, I left after that sold.

I was thinking of going. I decided to bid online instead. When I saw the Ms. Pac / Gal sell for $1600 plus premium, I knew that I could stop watching.

Why was everything going so high? Is the economy that strong? Is the amusement industry making a comeback? I think not....
