Hello all. I have an In The Groove 3 dancing simulator that keeps freezing up on me. I have tried all the obvious tricks with no result. I think I might have a bad hard drive. I wanted to try and re-install the software on this thing, but do not have it.

Does anyone know the following?

a: Who can I call that supports this game?
b: Software: Maybe somebody has the install disc(s) for this game
c: General knowledge of this unit. I have experience working on DDR's, but not the In the groove units.

Any help is much appreciated. I've got a TON of goodies that I may be able to help you with in return :)

I don't know if it will help you out or not, but an FYI, the In The Groove machines are just running "StepMania" with a custom skin on it. Might help ya out on your quest for info, or if you decide to go your own route and just DIY the software.

What cab is the ITG3 built in (DDR Extreme, Supernova, ITG)?

And since when is casey from Chicago. Know your roots, son!

Jerry, those drives are serialized to the mobo's upon installation. There is no "reload" DVD but there is a place to go to get it fixed.

Mark at Worldwide Video. I'll email him and make sure he's cool with giving out his number. I just bought an ItG3 kit form him to repair a DDR SN that had a bad hard drive. I'm DONE with the PS2 Konami platform as we've probably dropped well over $50k on new drives over the last 5 years for those games. A new drive for ItG3 is about the third of the cost of the drive/repair for a DDR SN.

Thanks. I appreciate it.

Correction, It is an ITG2, not a 3. I was mixing up the two units as we sold a ITG3 unit on Xmas eve. Really hectic week.
