In The Groove 2 Issues, even after sending in for service
Hello all. You might remember my last post a month or two ago about my ITG2 CPU freezing up. I ended up sending it in for repair. As they did fix the freezing issue, I am now experiencing a wierd and irratic glitch with the button inputs. When your in test mode, the scrolling through menu items starts to take off on it's own as if your holding the button down. You can press the right arrow to go down once, and the damm arrow will scroll down like 6 or 10 times!!. This happens in test mode and while selecting a song by the players.
After speeking with the service tech whom repaired my unit, he said that there is a known issue with the cabinet and floor lamps on the output of the untracade/jamma board (which is the interface between the PC and the cabinet)
It almost seems like there is some sort of RF noise coming from the lighting which is affecting the input signal.
If I unplug all the lighting connectors, the game works as it should.
I am not really expecting anybody here to have an answer, but I am simply posting this for reference as I like to always follow up with my repairs.
But if you know something, please share!!
