In order to move forward with Nintendo Offset T-molding ... I NEED ANSWERS!

You and Phet both needed black but I'm pretty sure he sold or is selling the machine that he needed the black for. If we go forward with "curvy" offset molding in white if enough people want black or if someone wants to buy 500-1000 feet the tooling would already be done.

I still need 20 feet of black offset for my Rtype so confirm my request

Have you "black offset t-molding guys" contacted chips4sale. I thought he said he had 9/16" NOS molding hanging around. Not saying I can't do it at the same time as the white offset but just want to make sure that he doesn't have a bunch to satisfy your needs.

I need offset white for my machine, but no longer have the original as I did my restoration years ago and that tmolding hit the trash.

How much constitutes a "run" ? Are you having trouble which type to go with? I dont completely understand the flat/kinda flat/sort of round but kinda flat questions...
I know the offset tmoulding that came off of my DkJr cab is pretty flat but not AS flat as the tmoulding on the CP.
I personally would be in for ANY offset tmoulding be it flat/kinda flat/sort or round but still kinda flat/ as long as it fits the offset groove :)
Thanks again for looking into this, without people like you these machines would be DOOMED!

Ok, here is where we sit and it isn't much farther than the last time. My apologizes... I will most likely be going to a local collectors place this weekend and getting some good samples and taking measurements so I can have a 9/16" mating piece / sample made for the manufacture. However, "IF" someone has a trashed Playchoice 10 or Punch Out cabinet that they no longer need/want/can't be restored let me know because I'd like some piece of the cabinet cut off and sent to me.

I'll be sending out new samples to the manufacture hopefully Monday.

Here is what we need to agree on to make this happen... I don't have a cabinet that requires offset molding so I'm impartial.

1) Do we want offset that is "FLAT" or slightly "CURVY" like the original? Even though it does appear that Nintendo did a very short run of this molding to resemble the "TRUE-FLAT" molding that is used on the 15mm plywood cabinet... I'd say most of these cabients were slightly curvy and more like standard t-molding.

- My vote is "keep it original" and slightly "curvy" !!! I mean, let's keep it what it originally was !!!

2) This will be Flexible PVC which is the same material as I used on the 15mm molding.

3) Satin finish (Same as 15mm molding).

If we can all agree as soon as I get firm pricing I will do a 1-2 week preorder (w/ discount)... After this time if we do not have enough interest everyone (backed by $$$$) I will give everyone an immediate refund... If interest is high enough we'll move forward and everyone will have their molding in 3-4 weeks...

I'm willing to move forward... But, my numbers are kind of wishy washy...

I vote to match what was actually used. When it is in the groove tight, it really looks flat.

I'm still in. As long as the molding is black and it fits I could care less if it's flat or curved

Is the cabinet 5/8" like the standard offset cabinets? I thought the cabinets were 9/16" but when I measured three different cabinets it was 5/8" which DPTwiz is telling me is technically 9/16".

We really need to "discuss" black a little further. I can see if the manufacture can do 500 feet but I think their minimum is a whole hell of a lot less.

After I get pricing for the white I'll see what our chances are at getting 500 feet of black "AND" start a new thread. The only way I can make it happen is if I don't have to sit on 48 machines worth for 25 years!

Oops!! I thought this thread was for discussion of the black molding. I can't get measurements from my cab for you right now. Maybe Phet can chime in on this with measurements from his Rtype??
