...I will finally be picking up my first cabinet. A Capcom 'Big Blue' currently running Street Fighter III: New Generation on a CPS3.

I'm excited, nervous, feeling sure of my decision yet just that tiny little bit of "am I doing the right thing?"

Am I picking up my first cab or getting married again? Because if it's the latter, someone may want to inform my wife.

Thanks for all the great info I've learned in such a short time just scanning these boards this last week - yet SO much more to learn, which I'm looking forward to. I plan on spending a lot of time here.

I've had a big blue - definitely the cabinet to have for those fighting games. You might want to look into the 18-1 capcom board, which has a bunch of the better CPS II fighters and some others. Plus it's using the original hardware design.

This thing is home and the CPS3 is running like a champ - and the guy thinks he's had it anywhere from 7-9 years!

I will post some pics later.

And here's some pics of the new baby. Note the control panel. Player one and player two are slightly uneven, and the finger spacing is more of the same. I'd like to build two new panels - one faithful og style with the correct spacings to fit my jab/fierce/roundhouse NOS button markings (that I'll have over a NOS Diamond CP overlay, thanks to Prairied1ll0), and another with a japanese style vewlix or astro city style finger layout.

And you'll notice she is DIRTY inside.

Ready for this? The folks I bought it from had it 7-9 years (they couldn't quite remember), battery has never been changed since they've owned it.

Either need to find someone who can do it or attempt to do it myself. Those instructions on cps2shock didn't look all that easy. Scared shitless, but I knew what I was getting into when I paid for it...

Add me to the legion of people on this site in search of 3rd Strike, and of course some quality CPS2 titles.
