The continuing saga of the jamma 48 in 1 diagnosis. In machine #1 the snow bros board works fine but plug in the 48 in 1 board and it doesn't seem to work. (no sound, video is spinning colored static). Machine #2 (yes I have two snow bros machines) snow bros works fine. 48 in 1 will boot (sound plus reaction to controls) but image is garbled and spinning. Video is good enough to distinguish what game it is but barely. What now? Help me save this board! Must be something with the video driver? Still new around these machines and boards, even advice on the obvious is appreciated!

I'd agree with Mod. You hold on your monitor probably needs to be adjusted on both cabs to work with that particular board. So basically you will likely have to make a simple adjustment depending on which board you will be using in the cab. As for the one cab where the multi board seems to not be working, I would check the voltage at the power supply. My guess is one is putting out less voltage than the other on the +5v line. Basically it's not enough to get the board to boot properly. At least that's my guess.

he said in his other thread that the +5 was measured at +5.60. He might not have had a way to turn it down, so moved to the other cab.

I'm more interested in how he's planning to play it in a cab with a horizontal monitor....

Ongoing sagA

I did measure the voltage at 5.6 and dialed down to 5.1. No change (cabinet one). The monitor is not horizontal on machine 1, fixed that long ago. Machine 2 is undergoing revitalization and will turn that monitor too. I am just trying to avoid replacing my 48 in 1 board, save $$ where I can. That machine 1 worked great before as a 48 in 1 but monitor blew. Tested new monitor on bench top running wires from the machine and 48 in 1 looked great. Put monitor in cabinet and it didn't work so tested with my old snow bro board to verify that the monitor works, for that board only.
