VERY important to protect your investments!

As a firefighter, I am embarassed it took me this long (we do have others in the house though).

Hopefully I will never have to play with them!

Heh... that's a great idea. :beerchug:

I never, ever thought to have one down there but it makes sense. Looks like I'll be stopping at Lowes tomorrow. :)

as a firefighter, I would figure you would buy a better extiguisher.. The plastic top ones are crap.. Plus they can't be recharged. (we have to recharge them every year which is pretty insane schedule, so I rotate 2 sets for our homes. )

amerex and ansul are good. 5lb abc should be about $45 new.. If you buy used, they need to be hydro tested every 12 years (we usually give them away as hydro testing is like $25+$12 for recert).

Touche. I know they are not the best, but they are compact and will do ok in a pinch.

I do have an Ansul upstairs though. Was really trying to find a Halon can but those are hard to come by now :(

I thought maybe it was going to be a pool table or jukebox.

Already have a pool table :) Would love a Jukebox some day. Some day.

Yup, this is a must if you are a Star Trek SOS owner!

Thsi is what I have heard. Luckily, the only Vector game I have is a Space Duel, but you can't be too safe :)

I knew when I first seen this thread someone was gonna bring up the flaming G08.
I have 3 Star Trek's one sense 1985, all working and so far I have never had one catch fire. I did have the power supply in my Dragons Lair bust into flames wile I was putting it together and getting it to work but the flames didn't last long so no fire extinguisher has been needed so far but it is a good idea to keep one handy. :)
