Hey guys,

So, I posted here a while back about a DK cabinet I picked up. I tested the PSU, and my best guess was that all of my problems were being caused by a truly beat up PCB. I replaced it a couple of days ago, and it fixed every issue I was having.

However! After having it on for a little while, the left side started curving up. The longer I leave it on, the harder it curves up.

Any ideas what could be wrong? I assume there isn't a setting that will fix this. My assumption is that I need a cap kit.

If that's the case, does anyone know somebody who can install a cap kit in Arkansas? I consider myself fairly electronically inclined, but I have no desire to let the juice out of the monitor. Scares the hell out of me.

A cap kit will cure what ails you. There are numerous step-by-step guides available online. Discharging the monitor wont be as 'eventful' if you let the game sit for around 3-4 days beforehand. And if you can cap a Sanyo monitor for your first cap kit, then you can cap anything in the future with relative ease. Were all here to help.

Thanks for the confidence boost. I've got it unplugged at the moment. I'll just leave it that way until the cap kit arrives, then I should be good to go.

Thats what I did with my DK. When I got around to discharging the monitor, I never even heard a peep even though I was expecting fireworks to go off. Keep in mind that you should still be careful, but its not as loud and startling as people make it out to be.

Here is the guide I used. Keep us updated!
