My sea wolf image is off center by 1 inch to the right. I fixed the B+ voltage thanks to all your help. That fixed the blooming. Now, how do I move the image on the screen to the center?

I tried the horizontal hold. It help by about 1/4 inch. I need to move the image about one more inch to the left. I hear that you can center the image by moving the yoke magnets. It sounds scary, however, I think on b/w monitors it can be easy. It is a motorola xm702 monitor.

Thanks for the help
Rick

Have you tried the horizontal oscillator adjustment?

And you can check the yoke for centering tabs...

There are two metal rings with tabs sticking out at an angle on the back of the yoke. One moves the image horizontally and the other moves it vertically. They interact with each other.

Rotating these moves the image on the face of the tube.

I was going to say that, as I know that's how they do it on vector B/W's, but wasn't sure if it was the same for raster B/W's. And of course, the manual has no info...

Thanks

I adjusted the yoke ring tab, and the image shifted to the right! It looks good, however, I think something is jacked up. The burned in image on the monitor does not overlay the current image. The burned in image is 2 inches higher on the screen.

I turned up the brightness, to show the screens painted area (raster area?), and it is only about 60% of the screen, the rest is black on top and bottom. I assume I need to adjust the vert. hold to get the whole picture? I messed with just about every vert. pot on the chassis, vert sync, ect. It made it a little larger vertically, but the image is far from filling the whole screen.

With the brightness turned back to normal, you cannot see this problem.

Also the sound of the uboat went out. You can barely hear it faint in the speaker. Seems like it instantly lost it's amplification. I see no adjustment pot for it. All other sounds normal.

Any ideas???

thanks
